I was a darn good shot with a 9 .. but worry "how many shots" it would take to stop an intruder. Thoughts?

hopefully one well placed shot..but hit them in the in the chest and head and that may take the fight out of them.. welcome aboard! my wife and I both have Glocks would rely only on them for my life or hers..its worth the extra price but then again what is a life worth? but what ever feels good in you're hands..she prefers a glock 19 and caries a glock 26

Here's my two cents, I am a Ruger P series lover but I would stick with the 9mm's or go with the 45acp. I am just not a big fan of the 40cal. Oh and WELCOME!

i love the P series pistols had a P91dc 40 cal great gun ultra reliable...but it was a tank..good vehicle gun !

Welcome, you will find some good advise here. There are as many different opinions here as there are members. However, there is a lot of experience when it comes to firearms. The final choice of the firearm that fits you best will be yours. My wife started out and would only shoot revolvers. Now she likes some of the semi autos but still prefers the revolver. Keep trying different guns before you make your final decision.
