Stole it from the comments in the article, but yeah, something is a little off here. Fishy fishy.

Look theft is a serious issue right now, but a 23% drop in profits with a 3% increase in sales over the previous year’s Q2 is suspiciously bad, even with all the recent theft issues.

They’re blaming shrink. That’s fine share your shrink data publicly then. Don’t want to do that? Well then forgive me for thinking you’re bull****ting in hopes that the board won’t fire you for mismanagement.

I don't shop at Dick's and don't care one way or another how their future goes.

I went in one in Macon looking for work boots way back in 04 and immediately noticed how expensive everything was. So I never went back just for that reason. Once they got all preachy about guns I knew I would never go back. But then just to make it that much worse they destroyed all the ARs and mags that they took out of the stores instead of returning them to the vendors for refunds/credit. So to ME the shareholders should have cleaned house THEN. Whatever happens to them now I couldn't give a **** less.
