Definitely anchor it, youll come home.on a windy day and it will be face down, ask me how I know.....

I have cut firewood for three families going on 40years: with a good footing, and when cut to length and stacked with care.....I have never had one fall down even in 60mph winds (two near miss hurricanes)

I would think a piece of wire to an eye hook wouldn’t hurt , as been said, it may save you the cleanup later and I think it’s cheap/easy insurance . Just my opinion tho
