i saw this and had to have it for BGE. It cures a little problem that don't keep me up at night. Just another have to have BGE tool.

So it replaces the cast iron plate in the bottom with the holes in it?
From what I read the bottom plate is optional. I'm trying it both ways.
I thought the one with the most toys wins? I enjoy cooking on BGE but there's nothing wrong with a stove when it's raining.
Those that think they have to have all these fancy toys don't know what is important these days...

The bottom plate I'm thinking about holds the coal. Without it the fire wouldn't get air and wouldn't stay lit. My original cast iron one rusted away and I replaced it with something similar to the one you showed only smaller in diameter.
I think this basket lets you shake out all those small pieces of charcoal that stops up the bottom grate. Thus allowing the fire to stay hotter with more control of the heat. The basket just makes it easier to get rid of the small charcoal that blocks air flow.
I'll let you know how it works tomorrow. Cooking a chicken for dinner.
Has anyone used the basket yet? Feedback is appreciated.
