marlin 357, i have a killer subsonic 357 load that is absolutely devastating on hogs. I cant wait for rifle season to start so i can take my first deer with it suppressed.

.308 is perfect all around for down south. This year I'm going with the Marlin 45-70 and Ruger Bisley Hunter 44mag. Gotta change it up.

I hunted with a 7.62x39 rifle length AR15 for years and have taken a lot of whitetail deer with it. Good to about 175 yards and most of our shots are about 50 yards (basically 30/30). I've upgraded to a LR308 platform just because I wanted to and could.

7.62x39 Wolf 123gr HP is brutal on deer. Cooler told me it looks like 243 at close range. $5/box is hard to beat. Just know you limits and shoot accordingly.
