I tell you what, the finish on this knife is awful! It's already showing lots of wear. This can't be normal.

Don't really care that much because it's a tool to be used but other than keys probably scratching it going in and out of pocket it shouldn't be fading so fast.

That's normal on the BM knives. The outer coating isn't as hardy as other brands but the knife itself (while it may look rough after a while) will last a really long time.

Has the "Made in China" worn off yet? That's usually the first to go. And stop putting it in your pocket. It belongs in a safe.

In seriousness, I have a mini-Infidel and the coating feels similar to the coating of a BCG and isn't glossy at all. I really don't carry it, so I have no idea how it will wear.
