Unfortunately seems to be a lot of negativity anticipated for this event. Think I'll give it a miss. What a shame. We need to be doing these kind of things in the right way if we want to make our point.

If the permit is not secured, this will be a no go for me. I hate that it may come to that, but that's where I stand. True there shouldn't be a permit required, nor should there be a $7k extortion fee from gsp, but as long as all other groups have been treated this way, that's just how it is in GA. A permitless rally in downtown Atlanta has trouble written all over it. Again, this is not how it should be, but that's how it is.
It's a true example of what happens when you pay the king his "dues" vs not. $ is what it all comes down to, and our side just can't compete.
Now if other groups have received different treatment than this charade, it needs to be brought to everyone's attention via open records investigation. Then we can come together for a more organized rally with more time to prepare sponsored by gco or the like.
But then again, if the building authority/gsp relents and the permit is a go, I'll be there. Let's watch this carefully.

FYI: No permit has been acquired according to the FB page video of the group head doing the rally. He is still calling for members to go without the proper permit. They are still going to be carrying ARs and are talking amongst each other about preparations if they are arrested. GSP, APD and Capitol Police are obviously aware of the event. According to the permit page, rally permits must be submitted at least 30 days prior. Here is a link about permits.

I don't think the authorities could stop you from milling around but I'm thinking they could stop any kind of official speeches?
I'm guessing they could arrest you as well for walking in the street/blocking traffic? Of course the story would be different if there were 10,000 attendees vs 15.
One things for sure, if folks start showing up with ARs slung they are going to get a LOT of attention from the media. And in the editing room they will cut the story to add as much anti IIA bias as possible before airing the coverage.

No matter how well we decent people try to present ourselves, the Leftist Lying Democrat Socialist will always find a way to deceive the public and spin the story in a way to further their agenda.
I guarantee you they are planning how to turn it in their favor.
Our vote, and having good conversation with friends, neighbors, and family would go farther in my opinion. I'm hoping for the best Sat.
