The Contender won't handle the pressures you'd need. The Encore... might, but the barrel makers have stopped making ultra magnums because the frame wasn't handling it well.

You need that GAP 338 from @docin2004 so it stops tempting me to get something I know I'll rarely use

I know the Mil, PM MAS (Picatinny Arsenal) is responsible for managing other military’s inventory and new/ upgraded ammo) with PM SW (Picatinny Arsenal) responsible for managing all of the weapon systems for the USA has developed a M855A1/ M80A1 “like” round that is AP for our SWS.

It’s pretty sweet however like the other rounds mentioned above they have limited training facilities due to the range of this ammo and SDZ’s. Like the smaller EPR rounds above, this is OCO use ammo only.

I’m with [mention]REDX [/mention] above my post, if it ever comes down to needing a AP round stateside, we probably have longer lasting/ grander problems.
