The outcome is this:

It was a misunderstanding by Z3, he missed the part where the other guy offered to drive to him and he was in the middle of negotiating with multiple people, simple mistake that sucks hard for the buyer. The main thing as far as feedback goes is there was never a "done deal."

Thanks Steve. I can see how the mistake was made, and also how the buyer-to-be would be upset, especially when children are involved. At the same time, this should be a good lesson learned for the youngster, that sometimes things are just not under your control no matter how much you want them, or how certain you are that you will prevail. Thanks.

Whew, the horse whipping is over. I was finally able to fight my way out with an old rusty spoon, a piece of flint, and one slightly irregular looking (but mostly unused) feminine hygiene product.
