Went crappie fishing at Cole Reservoir

Went crappie fishing at Cole (one of the Henry Co reservoirs) for the first time. I bass fished there a few times years ago, and did ok. I’ve been doing a bunch of crappie fishing lately, so figured I’d give it a shot. Good day! I put 41 in the boat, I kept 9 big ones to filet. Biggest was 14”, another almost that big. The wind was a battle at times, but worth the trouble!

May just have to give cole a shot. I’ve been fishing tussahaw the last few weeks with not much luck. I just moved back to Henry county and I can tell you tussahaw just isn’t what it used to be 10 years ago. Any tips you care to share for crappie fishing on cole?

Bobby Garland baby shad on 1/16 oz jig heads. Deep! 27’ of water, fish were in 15-20’

I went to Tussahaw A couple of weeks ago, slow trip for crappie. The bottom of that lake is clean as a whistle! ( at least where I was) Wound up catching a 3lb bass on a crappie jig and my partner caught a 5 1/2 lb bass on a rattle trap. I caught 5 very small crappie way up in the creek by some old dock posts. I’m sure they are in there, but I didn’t find them.
