Katadyn makes a "Gravity Camp" water filter that will do 6 liters. Open the bag and allow the water to flow in (point it down-stream). Close the top and hang it from a tree branch. It has a gravity type filter with filling tube. I've used the same filter while backpacking at Philmont three times. They are great -- eliminates pumping -- never had a problem. You can get it from REI....

We use it for all water needs.
