Transfer question.

I saw a thread about out of state transfer and read the ATF that some one pasted about transfer to a friend. My question is can I gift a gun to a family member of legal age and legally able to own said firearm, that resides in another state without a FFL transfer?

Can I transport and transfer there? Or does it have to be shipped?

You could ship it, and arrange to pay the receiving FFL transfer fee. Just have your family member go fill out the paperwork and pick it up.
