It isn’t hard to see that the will to survive transcends all political and socioeconomic boundaries, hence, why you have politicians and the ultra-rich secretly prepping while calling for you and I disarm.

Yep. "Zombie" simply means "any kind of bad actor". It's not really even code, its slang. Just like "Charlie" was slang for the enemy.
