get it to break loose and come out ...

It shouldnt be that tight of a fit. There should be a spring under it and the hole sized to allow the pin to "float" It just seems like someone may have
used glue or loctite? I really dont know.

2Jack.... been there... done that... Didnt budge.Not saying that a machine shop is not the best idea, but I would take a small pin punch held at a 45 degree angle from the real and give it a couple of whacks with a plastic mallet before rushing to the machine shop..
try to heat it up and loosen what ever solvent might be holding it down?
get a torch and light her up!!!!!!!! just not too hot lol
