Please direct me on a proper 308 carbine- something I can count on from here on out.

My 5.56 carbines are BCM but BCM doesn’t play in this arena. Oh to Wish.


1. Ruger SFAR- ~$1,000
2. POF 308 Rogue- ~$1,400
3. Something else.

Please advise.

I really like my DD5V1, aside from the proprietary upper/barrel/handguard interface. Proof research makes barrels if you want to swap.

I wish BCM did an AR-10....

If I hadn't come across a LMT MWS locally when I did, I was looking hard at a Sig 716i. Like most semi-auto .308 caliber rifles, it has a fair amount of proprietary parts though.

Got in the game with a DPMS LR 308 a solid shooter.

Then bought a DD5 V4 for long range.

Sig 716i Tread or Ruger SFAR would do as well.

You reminded me about the first one we had- a bull barrel LR308.

It was Chevy heavy, but did shoot well.
