Don't buy anything from Communist China...i.e. Pandas and the like.
There is a monthly Atlanta Coin show usually the second Sunday of each month in Marrietta. Last Sunday was the July show, so you will have to wait until August. Be very careful buying on ebay, I have and have not been burned, but I was buying 90% "junk" silver, highly unlikely to be counterfeit and with no numismatic value.
I personally avoid "slabbed" coins.
I collect in 3 broad categories.
Silver rounds issued by a government, US Silver Eagles, Canadian Maple Leafs;
90% junk silver, pre-1965 US coins with 90% silver content;
Morgan and Peace dollars for silver content and some numismatic value.
I ain't an expert, but this is what works for me and makes sense.

This may be what Jaybird is referring to
You can also find coin sellers at the RKO Gun Shows at Scott Antique Market several times a year. https://rkshows.com/events/
Marietta Hilton, Greater Atlanta Coin Show, most vendors are setup about 10am. Park to the right immediately when you turn and go in the door directly in front of where you parked, front right side of the building.

Depends on what you’re after. They’ll have more than you can carry out.How much cash you think I should bring?
