My wife sometimes still forgets when we're sitting down in a restaurant and I have to politely remind her to move her ass which is usually followed by her rolling her eyes at me. I always remind her its a precautionary measure with hopes of never having to utilize it.

Looks like there's a few lessons there. The BG's gun jammed after the first two shots (geez that happens a lot to BGs). I'll always assume a bad guy has a backup.

Scott Reitz wrote an excellent article in S.W.A.T magazine a few years ago detailng the events in this shooting.
In it I believe he advocated, in addition to other matters, only using your left hand to handle your fork.

Good stuff. He's one of my favorite modern day writers.
