With just a quick web search I see that the Mazda 5 has an oil cooler that is notorious for leaks.

If it was as bad as they say you’d walk out to a big ass oil spot right where your car was
Lolol that’s great I will next time!OP, should have told them they should be giving you a discount on the oil change since they wouldn't have to wait as long to drain the oil since it was leaking so badly.
Well I added a quart today and plan on adding more when I get off and doing the cardboard test is there a huge difference with the oil coolant? How often are you adding oil? that will answer it all
You will notice it looks like chocolate milk if your coolant is in your oil. If that is what you are asking. That would be a separate issue.Well I added a quart today and plan on adding more when I get off and doing the cardboard test is there a huge difference with the oil coolant?
What are you asking here exactly?is there a huge difference with the oil coolant?
I'd say so. Either your parking space looks like the wake of the Exxon Valdez or your car is pouring white smoke out of the exhaust, or both. What are you asking here exactly?
If you added a quart of oil in just a few days or miles, that's a big enough problem you hopefully can find the source fairly easily.
I'd crawl under it and check the pan bolts for tightness...snug if needed.
Also make sure the "leak" is not coming from around the oil filter.
Defect or damage? You remember the brand?Had a pin hole in my oil filter which is located at the front of my motor of my F150...Took a bit to figure it out because oil was being blown all over the place when I would drive.
