It was not the engineers that caused this point of failure, but rather the accountants. The original Isuzu engine had oil lubricated gears and cast iron heads, that minimized the revenue for the repair shop.

YEP im done with diesel trucks , Ford broke me of ever wanting another , my last duramax was a turd , ill never have another one
My old 95 cummins dodge is still rolling but i use it on the farm mostly, i have a new 6.6 gas burner im 100% happy with
it pulls everything i need it to

If Toyota was allowed to import their diesel, the three primary american made diesels would be relegated to the status of EV's
