Need help with building a computer

I am running a EVGA 670 myself and I had an issue when i frist installed trying to use the display port but once i connected the DVI fist installed the drivers then switched it it worked fine after that

I'll try that. I'll take the video card out, and try to get it up and running. If that works, then go back and add the video card.

OK, I removed the video card, hooked the monitor VGA to VGA on motherboard, still no VGA signal.

I'm at a loss.????

No, nothing on the monitor. Just says no VGA, no Display port, No DVI signal, then the monitor shuts down.

The only thing I have is a TV with a VGA hook up. I tried that yesterday, but could get anything on that either. But I also had the video card in when i tried it.

This may be offensive, but you are shutting the PSU all the way off when you make these changes?

does your tv have an HDMI you can try the HDMI output on the motherboard or the video card
