what you are makeing is a ghb(get home bag) which is way diffrent than a bob a ghb is ment to get you home (generly 24 houres or less) a bob is for when you leave your home when its no longer safe to stay and ment to last 72 houres or more.ymmv

My bag is more for getting back home if possible. I want a bag with food, water, gun, and a few basic necessities to have in my vehicle.

Maybe I am missing the point of a BOB.

I have an old beat up glock I bought for 325 bucks in my bug out bag. Its nothing fancy but it will get the job done. There is a tokarev in there also. ITs all about what you feel you need.
