Military ID Card?

Hey y'all!
First post.
I'm a Student at Georgia Southern University with a major in Justice Studies.
I'm 20 years old and am an FFL holder (well my the company I work for is).

I have read all the laws and need some clarification.

1) Can I open carry with a valid US Armed Forces ID in place on my GCL?

2) Does being 20 years old become an issue?

I've read this "O.C.G.A. § 16-11-130
Exemptions from Code Sections 16-11-126 through 16-11-127.2",
but need some clarification.

Are you in the military? If so, then yes - Your military ID (Guard, active, whatever) can be used in the state of Georgia in lieu of a GWL. Georgia has exemptions for military and law enforcement.

BUT! You will still need to be 21.

I'm pretty sure it is. But don't take my word for it, I'm just some guy on the internet.
One benefit to getting a carry license though, is that you'll be able to skip the NICS check whenever you buy a gun. Even with military ID, you'd still need the check.

Well I don't think the age is required because I can legally be hired as a law enforcement officer for the State of GA as long as I'm older than 18. And if I'm an 18 yr old officer then I still need a firearm. (**most agencies require you to be 21, but no law forbidding you join or go to the academy at 18**)
