This a thread about the food we cook when no one else is eating. Dude food, if you will.

I'll start it off. The eggs are with okra, tomatoes, vidalias, Crystal hot sauce, Lawry's season salt. Plenty of cheddar jack to make it cheesy. Okra n maters are from our garden, just like the fig jam on the toast. Watching me whip the slimy mess up would make my wife gag and leave the kitchen

I didn't take a picture but last night I had two eggs sunny side up, sausage, bacon, guacamole, hot sauce, cheese sandwich.

Taught my my girls how to make my fav Dude Food. Fresh caught Crappie fried. Corn meal, Evaporated milk, and salt. Salt the filets and allow to sit for 3-4 min in milk bath. I press my filets into the cornmeal versus tossing.

Can't beat fried crappie! The thing that the girls don't like is I let my buttermilk sit out to sour a little more. Gives the biscuits an extra tang.

Fried grouper throats and grits at Hunt's on the bay in Panama City. They claimed to have the coldest beer in town. I put that claim to the test.... They may be right!

Favorite dude food: Highschool Nachos

Place tortilla chips on plate
Cover liberally with cheese
Microwave till acceptably melty but not frying.
Take chips out
Stuff face
repeat
