Lookie what I got today

Hey willr1, ask your buddy if he bought it recently, and if so, where...

Would definitely be interested in adding one of these to a backpack or two.

he got it at Dicks, but they are everywhere he said. Also, get Whites, they are a little more than "cheap" ($5) ones, but last longer with more tension. He bought a 3pk for like $15 and playing with it last night, this thing could hold easily a 15lb load. Attach some spiderwire to it to save weight as a leader and us it to tie to the tree branch and there you go

I grew up on the bayou in Louisiana. We use them there and set them out 50 or 100 at a time. Get a styrofoam bait bucket and hang them in a circle around the lip of the bucket by the hook with the metal piece hanging inside the bucket.

We used a john boat to set them out on tree limbs hanging over the water. We would set them out and go back every hour or so and check the Yo Yos. It was a nighttime thing for us. Build a fire, sit around and wait. We would use a spotlight to shine at them to see if they had caught a fish or had been tripped and needed resetting. The fish's head will be sticking a couple inches out of the water. The metallic finish reflects nicely at night with a decent flashlight. It is an easy way to catch a bunch of fish to feed a lot of people in a short period of time. All you need is bait. Crickets or minnows will work just fine. Check to make sure you are licensed properly in your state. It may not be the same as licensing for pole fishing.
