Kinda what I've been thinking. Biggest problem w/ most of the guns people bring out to class (especially ladies) is they're too light & they can't shoot them very much.
How is the trigger on them? It's a DA/SA right?
The ones that have come through we're in groups too big for me to be able to take the time to check it out.
(Sorry for the thread hi-jack).

They are DA/SA and the SA trigger is surprisingly perfect for a military sidearm. Additionally, the DA is lighter than a modern J-Frame.

Get an East German, Bulgarian or Chinese. These are the actual military/police surplus guns and of impeccable quality. The Baikal guns are commercial export guns and are of far less quality. My Baikal feels like a toy next to my surplus Maks. The slide release is horrible on the Baikal as is the trigger and mag release. The East German dwarfs the others in terms of fit, finish and overall build quality. The Chinese is a close 2nd with the Bulgarian.
