Ooohhhh don't get me started. Some jerk neck government bureaucrat sitting in a cubicle making too much money from the tax payers decided that these things were safer and there fore we must require this design. These damn things are more dangerous than the old ones. No way to pour gas in a lawnmower without spilling a quart and getting gas all over you!!!!

Yep, classic case of the free market responding to over regulation. You can buy a whole passel of them from Sportsman's Guide.

Buddy in the estate sale/auction business tells me that old gas cans are a hot item right now.
