How long does it normally take for your FFL to inform you that your firearm has arrived?

Same here. I don't want to be responsible for someone else's property any longer than necessary.
7-10 business days, so lighten your ass up Francis!!!
It has to be logged into their books and almost no body gets it done immediately.
Customers coming into the shop will slow the process.
I know some stores have a next day policy as far as pick up just to avoid being heckled to death.

Yeah, typically an hour or two. Depends a bit on how busy they are. By close of business same day, at the worst.
I can usually resist temptation hard enough to wait for the following day before making pickup.

There’s really no reason that an FFL should keep you waiting. If they accepted the transfer then they now have the responsibility to get you your property as quickly as possible. Most of them are charging for this service, so provide some customer service.
Funny you should post this, I thought about a similar rant just the other week when I went to pick up a surplus pistol at the LGS. Long story but suffice it to say after much $$ spent at that store I am now looking for a new gun store.
