Help Blueing

Picked up a mossberg 500 the other day and want to redo it how would I go about reblueing th barrel and reciever the reciever looks like it has a type of paint on it do I need to strip it down to bare metal first I am sure its the stock finish how would I go about removing it

The receiver is aluminum and you cannot blue it. The barrel can be blued with a rust blue product, search Brownells.

If your going to blue the barrel, might want to look at Black Magic bluing. Stuff is fantastic. Much better than the Hoppes bluing.

also any safe way to do casehardening I have seen some things on youtube but not too sure I want my gun barrel neon blue any help would be appreciated
