Full Auto Sear w/o Class 3?

Untrue. You can buy FA trigger packs all day long and you don't have to be LE. If it was illegal then when you place your orders online, it would state that it can only be purchased by LE only or you have to show proof you are LE. If you need more help on this, email Adam Webber at HKparts.net and talk with him about it. He is the owner and will explain it to you. I myself thought the same thing. Adam cleared it up for me.

There are some sites that have that "text". I've actually talked to Adam but not about that! I'm sure I can't buy the MP5 auto sears. I about to have a Mp5 host! LOL

Legally you can buy any FA trigger pack/group as long as there is no intent of manufacturing a machine gun. You can have a FA pack and housing and have a MP5 host under the same roof. BUT a FA trigger pack will not work on a semi mp5 because it has shelf on the receiver. Also a true German mp5 trigger housing will not fit on a semi gun because the ears at the bottom are to thick and will not slide onto the shelf. As long as none of these things are modified to fit you semi gun. You are in the good!

I have thought about it too. Non transferable auto sears and packs can be had for 1/100th the cost of a transferable sear. Keep the sear at your parents or grandparants house, hell even bury it somewhere. Then when an asteroid or the zombies come...

Well defeats the purpose! I am getting my german made MP5 built right now! I can't wait, I hope I love it like I love my AR!

LOL it does defeat the purpose!!! Where are you having it built at? I have a Coharie CA89k that I am SBR'ing. Will look just like the MP5K! Are you doing a standard MP5 or the K?

I don't like the handguard of the K, so I got the regular full size Mp5. I'm getting it as a pistol so I can get possession of it NOW. I will form 1 it and slap on the retractable stock when it gets approved. I will get it threaded also. I am getting it built from DJ Getz Firearms. Hes a guy off HKPro. He was the only guy who was taking orders, Dakota hadn't been taking orders since last year or so. I've tried to get Dakota to build me one but hes still building from last his last batch.

My goal is to get it as CLOSE AS MP5N. My model is the fullsize 89. I paid a little extra to have German parts!

A transferable registered sear, needs to be registered unless you just want your NFA dealer to hold onto it as you "flip" it. Post 86 Auto Sears can be had by class 2 dealers. To have a class 2, its like 500-1k tax stamp every year. You have to be running a buisness though. If you get the class 2 for personal intentions, the Feds will f*** you. If you get caught with an non transferable auto sear along with just having a potential host gun, the Feds will f*** you. If you have a non transferable auto sear, with no such potential host, than I beleive you are in a grey area.

The BATF classifies auto-sears for some weapons (M4/M16/AR15, for example) as machine guns, IN AND OF THEMSELVES. If you have that little chunk of metal, YOU HAVE A MACHINE GUN WHETHER YOU HAVE ANY OTHER PART OF THE GUN OR NOT, according to the ATF. Having an auto sear without the proper tax stamp or SOT will earn you a $250,000 fine and 10 years in club Fed. Also, you'll never own another gun again.

So basically you're saying that the parts distributor such as HKparts or HKspecialist is breaking the law as well by having them and selling them on their websites?
