I never use regular spaghetti noodles. We either use rigatoni or penne. What is the dark colored stuff on top of the parm; can't quit make it out.
Basil from the garden last year. We had SO MUCH of that stuff we froze home made pesto in 2 inch cubes... have about 30 cubes, and dried several bunches... have about 3/4 of a gallon of dried crushed basil. My step daughters asked for a pinch on top of the sauce.
