My whole family thinks I’m nuts . But I’ve never been fishing in real low temps here locally. Was ice fishing in Colorado a few weeks ago and it was a balmy 10 degrees .

Guides and line froze up. Holy smokes it was 24 earlier today . Fish went to Florida .
I can remember when fishing for stripers on Carters, the eyelets of the rod were frozen over with ice build up..I really miss going after stripes, they taste great!
Got 2” of snow last night. It was 9 this AM at 2600’. Couldn’t imagine how cold it was on the stream for ya.
I stayed warm when I was hiking , wading was tough, all my clothing, boots , waders worked great . May buy some wool gloves .
