Do you think marijuana will be legalized nationwide? If so, how long will it take?

It's these things that need to be ironed out before weed gets legalized. If employers will not hire people with THC in their system without a valid reason, you will have a population of folks disqualified from the employment pool already. And I doubt employers will hire people without valid rationale of having THC due to liability issues. Or worse yet, the company moves to another country due to "better" cheaper workers.

Oh, and what do folks do when they look for work but can't get it? Someone is coming out of pocket to fund that, and if you think the marijuana tax will cover all of it... :tsk:

I know this is a bunch of fear mongering and "what-if" statements. Consider the future if this gets legalized.

I got news for you, weed is illegal now and tons of people smoke it and keep there jobs. Just because they make it legal doesn't mean I'm going to start getting high, are you? Companies can still drug test like they do today and stoners will still find a way around it.

You and I may not, but do you think the numbers of pot users will go down when it's legalized? When you allow / subsidize something you will get more of it. Yes, people get around the drug test everyday. Do you think drug testing regulations will remain the same for companies once it's legal when they know more people will be using? If anything, you may have to sign over your firstborn when completing HR for a new job in the future, or at least a job with a lot of responsibility.

Need a poll,, which would cause, or does cause more problems, death, torn familys, rehab centers, medical conditions, violence and so on. Just a thought

Dude you're just grasping. Employers will still drug test and can set policies that they don't hire drug users same as today.

And all of this is irrelevant anyways. Do you want the government to imprison/fine/punish people for possessing a herb? Yes or no? The fact that our minds go to wieghing all the social pros and cons of doing so before they can answer this very simple question just shows how deep rooted socialism is even in those who claim to despise socialism.

It cant be worse than legal drugs people are overdosing on right now. The way i see it if you are going to do drugs it won't matter if they ar legal or not. Kind of like if a criminal is going to use a firearm it wont matter if they are illegal he will find away. Tax it whatever in the end the same judges and lawmakers that are ranting and raving over drugs were all using something in college or university. they just did not get arrested and destroyed their future with a felony drug offense.

It will be legal sooner or later

That's the only way to prevent the Mexican drug cartels from taking over all of Mexico and the entire southwest US

If it's legal then the profit is gone
