I carry my RIA 1911 openly every day. The only time I don't carry that openly is when I'm at work and I carry my 23 concealed.

Yessir! All day, every day! 5" 1911 w/ rail and 2 reloads. Then again I'm 6'2" and 225lbs. So it's not a terrible burden...

I would consider most of my pistols to be "full size", even my G19 which is what I carry most of the time, even though it's called "compact". I've been known to carry a full size 1911, Sig P226, even a XD45 Tactical. I prefer to carry a large gun whenever possible because of better handling and more ammo capacity. Call me paranoid if you want, but I want as much ammo capacity as I can get and still be able to conceal the gun.
