It's not the cops that threaten out rights. And it's really not the courts. It's the politicians. And thy get their marching orders from the populace. Oh we may point out that they often do things whether we the people want them to or not and it's certainly a problem. But most gun control legislation is passed with the consent of, if not at the insistance of, people. For some stupid, egocentric moron like this to go out and stir up trouble is the wet dream of every gun grabber. Rather than sensibly introduce people to the sight of a responsible person carrying a tool of self defense while presenting the appearance of reasonability and respectability, this jackass goes out all cammoed up with the most recognizable and demonized weapon he can and scares the hell out of people. Are they right to be afraid? In his case maybe not. But with the news filled weekly with stories of shootings everywhere are they ALL that UNreasonable to be afraid? NO.

We have a RIGHT to be armed. I agree with that one hundred percent. But with every right comes responsibility. Some people can't elevate themselves above the selfish and self-righteous need to be jackasses long enough to consider the impact their actions have on the gun owning community and the country as a whole. If we keep supporting dumbasses like this they WILL force enough attention(NEGATIVE attention) to the issue that the liberals WILL succeed in pushing thru legislation that will erode our rights until they are gone altogether.

I'm not telling anyone what they can or can not carry, what they can or can not wear while carrying or where they can or can not go while carrying. What I'm saying is that just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD. What you SHOULD do is act like you have a brain and if you are going to carry openly, do it responsibly and respectably. Phillip Morris didn't use a fat guy in boxer shorts scratching his balls while sitting on his couch watching porn to advertize Marlborros...why in the hell would we want cammo joe the ak totin' redneck moron advertising for gun rights?

You're exactly wrong. It's people pushing the limits just a bit that have expanded our rights. Heller and McDonald come to mind. I already gave the airport example. If the PTB know you're not going to exercise a right because you're scared to do so, they don't even have to take it away...you've already done that yourself.

Yeah I read it. My thing is everyone wants to blame the LEO, and say that this guys rights were violated. Neither of which are true. It's people like this that will as stated above, hurt our rights.
