Well, I feel badly for you Billy. Why don't you just ask Ruger to take the new barrel's flash hider off this time? See if they make the same mistake. Who knows? Might be worth a laugh.

Next time use the right tool. Most Ruger birdcages/FH use a Torx t-68 and ratchet to remove. Good lawd

That barrel has an integrated flash hider that is a machined piece of the muzzle. It is not removable.

don't know how I missed this one. all I can say if he used a wedge and a screw driver to do that he must have arms like popeye. I think my vise would have broke first.

I did a quick search and the F/H is a machined part of the barrel, it does not come off.

That one did.
