Made that cabbage stew that's been going around. Wow, it's very very good!

Brown the meat first of course. Then sauté the veggies.

Bacon, ground beef
Cabbage
Onion
Carrots
Celery
Bell pepper
Garlic
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Worcestershire sauce
Salt Pepper
Dill
Jar of red sauce
Fill up the jar 2x with vegetable broth
1 cup uncooked rice

Simmer for an hour.

Beginning and finished pics

not a cooked photo but this is the 3rd Lions Mane found within 1/2 mile of my house. about 7 lbs(lots of moisture) It was sautéed in butter and added to my omelette, on top of smash burgers and a addition to the turkey carcass bone broth soup (tonight's meal with fried cornbread)
never heard of that, what is it???

lions main is a type of mushroom. usually growing up on or in a tree as opposed to on ground/under leaves. It is also a type whereas hard to confuse with anything else ( so i feel positive in my ID)
Sauted in butter its very meaty. Saw one at Addis Gap near lake burton on a cherry tree was as big as a basketball but was nearly 20' up.

well...I do some baking, while I'm not the kind that seeks perfection, many in the area of baking complain about how humidity, outside temp, and other factors manifest into issues...I'm just say'n
Well when I'm cooking it's not because of the weather, it's cause I'm hungry.:becky:
