Cast bullet advice/teaching

Just remember to not load them very hot.
There''s no sense to it anyway, you use more powder and you'll be a little slower to the next target.
Too fast and you'll get leading in the barrel. It'll be tough to get rid of it.
Chrono them for between 750 and 900 fps.
I know 750 runs in all of my 9's except the one with the compensator.....

I plan to run them in idpa. i need to reach 1000 fps with 125gr bullet. From what I have read it will be about 22500psi. if i powder coat them and run them at that pressure will that work for wheel weights?

I don't know. You've pretty much reached the limit of my expertise.
I don't know about powder coating. I shoot coated bullets, but not my bullets powder coated.
I'm guessing you are not shooting a Glock.

You can up the hardness a little bit by dropping them in a bucket of cold water, that'll help.

Get a 5 gal bucket and put a piece of cloth over the top that sags into the water.
Cut a little slit in the lowest part of the sag and when you drop them from the mold, drop them into the water. They'll work their way down to the slit and fall to the bottom of the bucket.
