Serious question - Why would you dimple a barrel?
It's not hard. But having the correct jig ensures that gas port alignment will be perfect. If you drill the dimple off center, the gas block will align itself to the dimple.Duce, u can do it urself very easily. On the other hand, I've always just used a drop of blue loctite and have never had a single problem.
As long as u start with a spring loaded punch to give the drill bit something to center on, this helps a lot. Of course having the punch "marks" in the correct spots helps too. LOLIt's not hard. That's sort of my point. The jig aligns itself on the gas port and indexes the dimple exactly opposite of the port. No guessing or MK1 eyeballing required. As long as u start with a spring loaded punch to give the drill bit something to center on, this helps a lot. Now ur just being too advanced! That's sort of my point. The jig aligns itself on the gas port and indexes the dimple exactly opposite of the port. No guessing or MK1 eyeballing required.
