Can one of guru experts tell me what kind of chickens we have? We have had them about a year and they they are good layers. I think the black one is an Americana and no clue on the other 2. These are true backyard chickens living in a tractor supply red barn.

The brown appears to be your Americana/Easter Egger. The gold could be a Buff Orpington or a New Hampshire Red. The black is a tough angle.

Really, the brown one is an Anericana (blue/green egg layer). We thought the black one was the Americana because of the color of her legs.

Do you have any other pictures? The brown one is a little more of a traditional americana coloring. Hard to say on any of them without seeing the faces and body.
