Owning firearms is a right. Driving is a privilege.
A right is granted by society to its members in order for it to function; a privilege is granted by a group or individual as either a reward for, or conditional upon, good behavior. Many people go on about their "rights" with no idea of what it means.

your rights cease to exist when your government ceases to acknowledge them.
 
Read that out loud to yourself.
It's true. We could lose any of our rights with the stroke of a pen or a change in government. You don't have a brights that can't be taken away from you. Go to Germany and try to buy an AR 15 see how far your rights get you. Go to Japan and try to buy any gun.

Commit tax evasion in the US and get caught. See if your "god given" rights still have value in a court of law.
