Try plasti dip. Durable as hell, easy to apply and touch up, and very cheap.

just go to harbor frieght get the powder coating rig coat it bake it at 400 deg for 20 min and doneBummer. I got a couple quotes for paint and it was redicilous. I don't know anyone round here that powder coats. So should I even seal it since I'll need to touch it up so much?

This is the way a lot of aircraft are painted. Same principal as powder coat, but applied in liquid form and chemically cured. I would have thought that this would be even more expensive than regular automotive paint, but I've never had it done.I have a buddy that does electrostatic painting that would be the way to go if you didnt want to powder coat he uses self etching primers and it binds the paint to the metal with electricity , if you want to go powder coating id recommended benise dowling they are in decatur ga and have a state of the art facility
