I have been an FFL/SOT for 14 years, we offer ultrasonic cleaning for those that feel that they need it, I have NEVER cleaned ANY of my supressors, there is no need unless leading gets so severe that it starts to obstruct the bullet path. For centerfire cans with pistons, just unscrew and spray with "Powder Blast" (a break free product) or similar. The amount of rounds that you would have to fire to interfere with the performance of a quality can, I have not yet seen.
