I've employed both in Iraq and Afghanistan and think highly of them both.
Aimpoint or Eotech?

aimpoint t1, midwayusa has them for 499 now
I have used both an prefer my eotech. Which I took to the Stan and had no issues.
Having used both before I prefer the aimpoint over the eotech for a few reasons, some personal.
Reticle: To me personally I love the single red dot, the eotechs reticle to me is to cluttered when shooting at more than very close up(50 yards and under)
Battery life: Aimpoints win this with out question, plus aimpoints are always on, no pressing buttons to get them on. middle of the night you grab and go.
Durability: Now some will have their own thoughts, but I have some buddies over seas (Marines and army) and they said a lot of the guys were running eotech's but went back to the aimpoints cause the eotech were failing on them, like breaking breaking not just dead battery. I have personally seen a Springfield M1A Socom destroy an eotech....I have never even heard of an aimpoint failing on somebody, im sure some have but I have never heard it, and you would think if one did it would be all over the internet like the "exploding Glock"....
Price: close enough not to matter
