Just because it just got brought up, as far as using a magnifier behind the Aimpoint or Eotech I generally don't like them. If you want or need magnification I would look at a 1-4X scope, my preference goes to the Trijicon Accupoint. Granted it depends on what you are building the rifle for and what you are sing it for. For hunting of man 1X is fine out to 300 meters all day, if you are wanting to target shoot and either go out farther or working on a pseudo-DM rifle then some magnification is nice.
