Actively hunts with. 22? No, that would be illegal. But I know if a few folks that did when it was legal cause you know all laws are followed 100%.....

I'd say the 3006 is the kill king for deer !

I'd swap 7 mag with .270 but other than that you got it. (And I love my 7 mag)

It was the preferred caliber of poachers back where I come from.
Who "reports" caliber that they kill deer with.
I never said anything about the kills being "legal". I only spoke to totals and my opinion regarding the prevalence of 22 being used on deer.

I always recommend a 30-30 for deer hunting. A lot of folks will get some magnum blaster with a Hubble telescope on top to take 50-75 yard shots. Yeah that makes a lot of sense.......
