  1. Custom .257 Roberts on a Mauser action

I built one for myself about 45 years ago. Whittled the stock outta a Claro Walnut blank I got from a guy in California. Told my wife that if i sold it for $1,000.00 I'd get about a dime an hour for my time. The 257 is a great round. I don't see why it's not more popular.
  2. Need info / value on 3 older shotguns

These are all great old guns. That's what I like. But, the sad truth is that gun buyers nowadays don't care about the same things. If it aint "Tactical" they want nothing to do with it. I collect Remington rifles from the 50s and neither one of my sons are interested in them. The model 12 in the...

  7. Can anyone ID or provide any information about this gun I acquired through an inheritance? Thank you.

Danger Close Guns in Winder has ammo in stock for the 303 British. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that the 303 has taken more African game than any other caliber.
  8. Remington 700 30.06

Most any gunsmith that builds custom rifles should have a couple of stocks on hand. The 700 is a great action to start a custom build on so they usually have them.
  9. Precision rifles! Let’s see’em

Had me a 1,000 yard rifle built a couple of years ago by Hammonds Rifles in Red Lion, Pennsylvania. I had a Remington 78 Sportsman that provided the action and I asked Clarence to use the stock if he could. It's in 6.5X284 and it shoots WAY better that I can. Problem is it leaves me with no...
  10. Gun Store Visit

Went up to Gainesville yesterday to visit The Foxhole. If you guys like old guns you really need to go check them out. John has been combing the collections and has some excellent old guns in stock. I saw 2 pre '64 model 70 Featherweights, old Remington shotguns and much, much more. The wall is...

    No. Right Eye.
  12. Colt SAA Porn all SAA welcome

I know. Bob would practice in his Motel room during the evening according to his wife. It's funny that I'm right handed but I shoot faster with my left hand than the right.
  13. Colt SAA Porn all SAA welcome

I've seen him draw and fire 2 rounds and I swear it looked and sounded like 1.
  14. Colt SAA Porn all SAA welcome

Munden installed coil springs. And if you didn't believe he was fast all you had to do was wait a minute and he would tell you. He came to our match (Mule Camp) a couple of times and did a show. His wife was pretty good too.

  19. Remington V3 Warranty

I'm a die hard Remingon man. I love all my Remington rifles and i have a few. They were all made in the 40s, 50s & 60s tho. It's really sad to see what they've become.
