My wife has had an EV for the last 8-9 years. Right now, she has a 2019 Nissian Leaf, one of the crappier EVs. She commuted from the burbs into Atlanta for many years with it. It is awesome and they are the future.
I drive a diesel truck. EVs can't replace that and may not be able to for a...
Ha! Thanks for the mention, but I just play around with photoshop. I can't actually create anything new. Many of those avatars I make are full of copyrighted images off the internet, lol.
Hey @wwboater -
@Chris735 Did an original graphic for me to use on my camper. This guys seems pretty legit.
I got an airsoft to teach the kids some stuff in the back yard. I highly recommend it. Get a decent one and they're accurate enough.
Not close to you but the guys at SS Airsoft by me were a big help. If you have to order online, at least you'd be able to talk to a human if you have questions...
LOL, good point. I actually looked up "lost in the woods" stories when I was refreshing my pack this year. One lady died after 26 days but apparently just really didn't know what she was doing...
It depends what the purpose is. If it's just a kit to survive if you get lost in the woods, I don't think it needs to be much. You just have to make it until a search party finds you.
I do think the altoid tin kits are too small though. It doesn't take up much space/weight to pack a better kit.
As mentioned, cabinet maker or Highland Hardware in Atlanta.
Also, look for a lumber supplier other than HD or Lowes. Sometimes they have something in stock or will know where to get it. I think Suwanee Lumber Co has some fancier stuff. I know they have hardwood veneered plywood that would...
Loving this thread. Thank, OP.
Just bought a couple of these...

Lowes and HD have a number of small tools that are made in the US now. Stanley makes some stuff in the US but much in china so you have to look at packaging. That actually wasn't the case 10yrs ago so...
I'm no AR expert but if you're asking the question, you're probably near my level, lol...
There's so many brands and options it'll make your head spin. Many of them are great but for a first AR I'd go with an FN or Colt. Just get a base model and upgrade to taste on your own. Resale value will...
It's been debated a ton but here's my explanation -
Metal will flex back and forth basically indefinitely unless you reach the yield point. The yield point is where the metal actually bends permanently. If you want to bend sheet metal, you have to over-bend it to get past the yield point...
Legos. Even in a TEOTWAWKI situation, people will want to trade for something their kids can play with.

How temperature controlled do you want it? Just cool it off so you can work in comfort or are you storing family heirlooms there?
Foam is awesome but it's does it's best at openings/seams. You can save some by just having the ends of your spaces foamed and fill the rest with traditional...
I'm ok with it. I think they can provide decent habitats for dolphins and seals. I imagine they might like the interaction just like a dog does. You can't build a tank big enough for a killer whale so they go nuts.
Free food and games for a dolphin/seal seems fine. Cruel is putting a sweater on...
You can start by reading the article that you link. FFS
"Those were only the deaths confirmed by lab testing, which the WHO itself warned was a gross underestimate because the deaths of people without access to the health system go uncounted, and because the virus is not always detectable after...
