You ever look back and wish you had..............

I "kinda" wish I'd kept my Dad's High Standard model 100 Supermatic, 1953 production I think, 6" bull barrel with a bottom rib for weights. Lever take down (not push button). Adj. sights.
It had the slide peening due to a lot of use with HV ammo all through the 1970s and 1980s, and the cost of repairing it would have been higher than the gun's value. I sold it (with disclosure) to an amatur gunsmith and used the money to buy a S&W model 34 kit gun, 4" square butt.

Back then, I think it was a smart "trade."
But now, I wish I had that old .22 of Dad's, that he used in the 1950s and early 1960s to win a bunch of awards in local and regional club matches.

The gun looked like this (some random pic from internet), minus the barrel weight.

I do not regret selling or trading-away many other guns. It least a dozen over the last 25 years that I don't miss.
And, since they don't have any individual sentimental value, if I found myself REALLY WANTED ONE of them again, I'd just find it and buy it. Same model and age gun, but different S/N.
