So I had to settle on one of the cheaper gunsafes back about 6-7 years ago. It’s done what it was supposed to do up until this point. Now the combo doesn’t work. Put it in, get three beeps. Do it four times and it locks me out for 5 minutes. Try it again and same thing. Changed the batteries and same thing. Apparently I’m not the first one it’s happened to. The electronic keypad goes bad. Anyone using any alternatives to a gun safe, like a locking metal cabinet or something else? Can’t drop $2k on a safe right now but also don’t want to waste my money on another cheap safe that I can cut open with a saw.
