Will Ferrell- Good comedian/actor or not?

I think the guy is a hack.
It was funny when he first started making movies but now everthing he does is
basicly him screaming.

Yeah, he's been sterotyped bigtime. Every roll is basically the same character with a different name. I have heard he's a pompous douche to work with on the set and thinks his sh*t doesn't stink.

Although I agree that his act has gotten stale, his skits on SNL are legendary. Also Anchorman is my favorite comedy of the last 10 years or so.

I think the movie industry does it's best to SELL MOVIE TICKETS. That's how they stay in business too. So my response to your question would be that they do not push to keep ANYONE for ANY other reason than the fact that they fill seats. If no one went to see Will Farrell, Will Farrell would be out of work and doing stand up again full time. That industry is ruthless and unforgiving. You can be on top one minute and gone the next...
